Calculation

Calculation is an interesting game, requiring quite a bit of luck, and good arithmetic skills. Luck plays a part, but a lot of skill is involved as well...

Aim:

The aim of Calculation is to build 4 any-suit sequences in the foundation zone.

How to Play:

At the start of the game, the foundations are set up with an Ace, two, three, and four.

The 1st foundation goes up by 1... A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K

The 2nd foundation goes up by 2... 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, Q, A, 3, 5, 7, 9, J, K

The 3rd foundation goes up by 3... 3, 6, 9, Q, 2, 5, 8, J, A, 4, 7, 10, K

The 4th foundation goes up by 4... 4, 8, Q, 3, 7, J, 2, 6, 10, A, 5, 9, K

Cards are built up in the foundations regardless of suit.

Cards are moved from the talon one at a time- either straight to the foundation, or to the manoeuvre zone.

Cards cannot be moved in the manoeuvre zone, except onto an empty column.

Strategy

Because the Kings are at the end of each sequence, try and keep them on their own stack.

It helps to try and build the stacks up evenly, and to pay attention to which cards are coming up on each foundation stack.

Suppose that the initial Calculation deal looks like this:
