Note Studio
Tips on using Note Studio to brainstorm
- Focus on writing everything down as quickly as possible, without worrying about making sure everything is correct. Note Studio
has the Create New Page function(F12 on PC, /N on palm), that lets you quickly add content to a new page, without worrying
about where it belongs.
- Don't worry about the structure of the Notebook initially. You can easily "refactor" your notebook later by:
- Rename page(Which will rename the page, and all links to the page)
- Breaking up big pages into small ones with cut and paste.
- Inserting links (Ctrl-L on PC, /L on Palm)
- removing links from pages
- Don't worry about making the text look pretty initially. You can easily add bold, italics and headers later on. Doing them
whilst brainstorming will just slow you down.
- Timestamps can be useful (F5 on PC, /5 on Palm), to keep track of the order in which you came up with thoughts.
- "Recent Changes"(Ctrl-R on PC, /R on Palm), can be useful when you revist a book, to know what you last were thinking/writing about. This
lets you jump straight back in to what you were last doing.
- If working on the Palm for brainstorming, then a keyboard (such as the Palm wireless keyboard) is essential. This will let you type data into your palm much quicker than you could with Graffiti.
