RELEASE NOTES

version 3.1.0

23 Sept 2005

------------

Installation

------------

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have already upgraded your data from version 2, then when the installer asks if you are upgrading from version 2.0.x, you MUST select 'No'. Otherwise your 3.0 data will be overwritten.

1. Make sure that there are no un-synched changes on your Palm

2. Make sure Note Studio is not running.

3. Make sure your data is backed up (this will happen automatically if you answer 'yes' to a backup when closing Note Studio).

4. Run the installer. NoteStudio 3.1.0 can be installed straight over the top of 3.0.0.

5. Answer 'No' when asked if you're upgrading from 2.0.x (unless you haven't upgraded from version 2 yet)

6. Run Note Studio

7. Check that you can see all your data as expected

8. Synch with your Palm TWICE (x2), with the conduit set to one-way synch (Desktop overwrites Handheld).

FYI: Change to Upgrade Policy

-----------------------------

THIS WILL NOT AFFECT EXISTING CUSTOMERS!

From 3.1 onwards, we are changing our upgrade policy.

It does not affect any current customers, only people who buy now and in the future.

Anyone who has purchased 3.0 or earlier, are guaranteed continual free upgrades.

People who purchase 3.1 onwards are not guaranteed continual free upgrades.

This is due to to the rising costs of providing free upgrades.
