FAQ
I see you sometimes talk about one-way sync. What is it?
Normally, when you synchronize between your Handheld and Desktop, the synching is a two-way process:
- changes you have made on the Handheld are transferred to the Desktop, and
- changes you have made on the Desktop are transferred to the Handheld.
A one-way synch means that one version completely overwrites the other version. This could either be:
- handheld overwrites desktop, or
- desktop overwrites handheld.
When would you do this? When for any reason one of your versions becomes incorrect, or there is a problem with a two-way synch.
You can often fix a problem, or restore a device, using a one-way synch.
