How can I split one book into two different books?
This is awkward at the moment. We are planning to improve this in the future. Current options are:
Manual, within Note Studio
One-by-one, manually:
- copy the page from one book
- paste it in the other book
- remove it from the first book
XML Files plus Note Studio
- export the book to XML
- edit the XML file, to give the book a different name
- import the book into Note Studio.
Now you have two copies of the book. Then, for each book:
- go in and remove the pages you don't want.
Pure XML File Manipulation
- export the book to XML
- make two copies of the XML file.
- give one of them a different name, so that you can reimport them without trouble.
- remove the original book from Note Studio.
- in each XML book
- remove the pages you don't want.
This may be quicker than removing pages via Note Studio.
